OSB Board

OSB, or Oriented Strand Board, is an engineered wood panel made from small wood strands that are arranged in layers and bonded together under pressure. It is strong and can be used as part of structural and supporting systems in construction. For roofing applications, OSB can be used as a roof deck installed over the supporting structure before applying other layers such as moisture barriers, waterproof membranes, and shingle roofing materials.

  • Used as a supporting roof deck for roofing systems
  • Provides a base before installing moisture barriers and waterproof membranes
  • Suitable as a substrate before installing shingle roofing materials

Before installation, the supporting structure and surface should be checked to ensure they are properly prepared. The OSB panels should be positioned according to the roof layout and structural framing. Fastening should be carried out using an appropriate method to provide a stable base for the following roofing layers. The type, thickness, and environmental conditions of the installation area should also be considered when selecting OSB for the project.
