Moisture Barrier

Moisture barrier paper is used as an underlayment layer within a roofing system, installed between the roof structure and the roofing material. It helps provide additional protection against water and moisture that may enter beneath the roofing layer. For shingle roofing applications, it can be installed over a properly prepared surface before the roofing material is applied to help enhance the overall protection of the roof system.

  • Helps protect against water and moisture beneath the roofing layer
  • Used as an underlayment before installing roofing materials
  • Can be used together with OSB, waterproofing membranes, starter strips, and shingle roofing

Installation should begin by checking that the surface is smooth, clean, and suitable for the system. The moisture barrier paper should then be laid to cover the roof area properly, with special attention given to joints, edges, and areas with different structural details. It is suitable for both new construction and roof renovation projects.
